Genie Bouchard may be done with pro tennis, but she is still getting plenty of love. The former Wimbledon finalist shared vacation photos this week from the British Virgin Islands, just months after retiring at age 31.
Bouchard posted several pictures showing her enjoying the Caribbean on Instagram. She relaxed by the pool, went snorkeling in the ocean, and dressed up for evenings out. She captioned the post, “no schedule these days,” giving fans a glimpse of her relaxed life after tennis.
The timing made sense. Bouchard officially retired in July at the National Bank Open in Montreal. She ended her tennis career at home in front of Canadian fans. Since then, she has moved into professional pickleball, which gives her a much more flexible schedule.
Bouchard’s New Phase After Memorable Tennis Career
Bouchard reflected on her journey when she announced her retirement earlier this year. “Tennis has given me so much,” she said at the time. “I am filled with so much gratitude for this sport and the people that helped me along the way.”
