A priest and a nun were traveling through a remote desert on the back of a camel when disaster struck.<\/p>\n
The camel suddenly collapsed from exhaustion.<\/p>\n
With no nearby towns, almost no water, and the blazing sun overhead, they began walking, hoping to find help.<\/p>\n
One day passed.<\/p>\n
Then another.<\/p>\n
Their water ran out.<\/p>\n
By the third day, both were exhausted.<\/p>\n
As the sun began to set, the priest sighed.<\/p>\n
“I’m afraid we may not survive this.”<\/p>\n
The nun quietly nodded.<\/p>\n
“If this truly is our last night, I’d like to ask you something.”<\/p>\n
The priest smiled sadly.<\/p>\n
“Of course.”<\/p>\n
She hesitated.<\/p>\n
“I’ve never seen a man without his clothes. Before I die… would you mind if I did?”<\/p>\n
The priest, embarrassed but understanding the unusual circumstances, agreed.<\/p>\n
He stepped behind a rock, removed his clothes, and returned.<\/p>\n
The nun looked for a moment, then quietly thanked him.<\/p>\n
A few seconds later, the priest cleared his throat.<\/p>\n
“May I ask you something as well?”<\/p>\n
She smiled.<\/p>\n
“Yes.”<\/p>\n
“I’ve never seen a woman without her habit. Before I die… would you mind?”<\/p>\n
The nun agreed.<\/p>\n
She stepped behind another rock and returned.<\/p>\n
For a moment, neither of them spoke.<\/p>\n
Finally, the priest looked at her and said with a faint smile,<\/p>\n
“You know… what I have, if placed in the right spot, has the power to create life.”<\/p>\n
The nun’s eyes suddenly lit up.<\/p>\n
“Really?”<\/p>\n
“Yes.”<\/p>\n
She clapped her hands excitedly.<\/p>\n
“Then we’re saved!”<\/p>\n
The priest blinked in confusion.<\/p>\n
“Saved? What do you mean?”<\/p>\n
The nun pointed toward the lifeless camel lying a short distance away.<\/p>\n
“Go put it in the camel and see if it comes back to life!”<\/p>\n
The priest stood there speechless for a moment…<\/p>\n
…and then burst out laughing so hard that, according to the story, the laughter attracted a passing rescue convoy, which spotted them from a distance and brought them both safely out of the desert.<\/p>\n
