The clip, featuring an adopted baby born with Down syndrome grinning happily at her adoptive mother, has already been seen by more than 14 million people.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s not too difficult to see why: the baby is absolutely adorable. She knows she\u2019s in a loving family, and the joy she\u2019s spreading is simply an extension of her own contentment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The National Down Syndrome Adoption Network (NDSAN) was established in a bid to ensure every child born with Down syndrome has the chance to grow up in a loving family.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The organization was founded by Robin and David Steele in 1982 after they fell in love with Martha, a young girl with Down syndrome residing at a children\u2019s home.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Given all the worry and strife we face in the world today, it\u2019s important that we all take a moment to appreciate the small things that make us feel good. Something as simple as a baby\u2019s laugh or smile really can go a long way towards restoring some small measure of faith in humanity.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
